At Embody Performance & Recovery, formerly O'Guin Wellness, we specialize in leading, non-invasive therapies that restore alignment, enhance movement, and promote healing. Our priorities are to offer the highest quality care and a variety of treatment options that work best for you. Modern medicine has helped us live longer. We're here to help you live better.
Dr. O'Guin has been a practicing chiropractor in Kirkwood since 2008. He has taught advanced biomechanics, rehabilitation, and myofascial techniques at Logan University. Additionally, he has lectured on "How to Build A More Resilient Spine" to other chiropractors through the Missouri Chiropractic Physicians Association.
His fascination with natural methods of health and healing is the result of learning how to manage his own injuries from; physically demanding jobs, hiking heavy equipment while serving in the Marine Corps, and participating in contact sports. These injuries led him to explore yoga, functional rehabilitation, athletic training, strength and conditioning, myofascial release, acupuncture, stretching, and chiropractic alignments.
Dr. O'Guin is most passionate about sharing his diverse understanding of the potential of the human body with others. He reminds us that people are living longer, but they're not living better! The best medicine on the planet, according to Dr. O'Guin, is quality movement.
Dr. Hagerman graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in December of 2021 where he interned with Dr. O’Guin in the final two trimesters of school. His initial interests into the career of manual and conservative therapies arose during his senior year of high school where he tore his ACL during a football workout. Through rehab, he learned to appreciate the integrity of the human body, biomechanics and how to optimize the recovery process.
One quote that resonates with Dr. Hagerman by Thomas Edison states, “The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will instruct his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cure and prevention of disease.” He believes exercise is medicine and has made it his mission to partner with his patients to provide the most up to date and individualized care so they can be the best and healthiest versions of themselves.
